World’s Largest Natural Flower Garden in Dubai

It’s home to the world’s tallest skyscraper and the world’s tallest hotel, but Dubai is also now home to the world’s largest natural flower garden in the world, the Dubai Miracle Garden.

The 72,000-square meter mega-garden feature more than 45 million flowers, many of which, according to its website, are planted for the first time in the Gulf Region. Featuring colorful flowers arranged in arches and flowerbeds in different shapes and patterns, the Miracle Garden also has a “flower wall” that is bidding for a Guinness Record, according to the Gulf News.

Abdel Naser Y. Rahal of Akar, the landscaping company that developed the site, also told Gulf News that the garden will demonstrate that “it’s possible to green the desert through judicious re-use of waste water through drip irrigation.”

The Dubai Miracle Garden is open October to late May, and will be closed during Dubai’s summer months, when it can get extremely hot, humid and dry with an average high of around 104 F (40 C).
