Qatar has numerous projects in course and others that have already been completed. From major stadiums for the Fifa World cup 2022 to other projects counting Lusail City and the New Doha Port, here you can check a list of the country’s biggest projects.
The 40,000-seat stadium is being built on the site of Al Rayyan Sports Club’s existing stadium, Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium. The stadium is expected for completion in the first quarter of 2019.

The first phase of HIA opened in 2014 with the final phase planned for 2018. Covering a land area in excess of 22 sqm, HIA replaces Doha International Aiport as Qatar’s main airport.
Set to boast a population of around 200,000 people as well as being home to one of the seven World Cup stadiums, the city has an estimated cost of $45billion.
Developed by Msheireb Properties, the $5.5billion project aims to redevelop, regenerate and preserve the historical heart of Doha. Will feature premier office space, retail and leisure facilities, townhouses, upscale apartments, hotels, museums, civic services and cultural and entertainment venues.
With the capacity to accommodate 60,000 seats, the stadium is expected to be the semi-final place. The stadium will be situated at the heart of a 1million sqm complex which will also include a hospital, a mall and a park. The stadium design is based on Bayt Al Sha’ar – a black and white tent used traditionally by nomadic people in Qatar and the region.
