Kettle Collective, the UK-based design studio, has landed a contract for a mixed-use project in Dubai.The company, which has offices in Edinburgh, Moscow, San Francisco and Dubai, is to work with developer Wasl on the Jumeirah Courtyards project.

The development, which will include more than 80 villas and 210 apartments, will be complemented by 100,000 square feet of retail space. Construction is due to take place early next year.Kettle said it would be working with Ted Jacob Engineering Group, which will be carrying out the structural and building services engineering on the project, along with local quantity surveyors NEA.

“Wasl is one of the major developers in Dubai, with experience in the region. We are looking forward to developing a close working relationship with them.”

Nabil Al Khaja, general manager for project management at Wasl, said: “We have been very impressed by the professionalism and high quality design from Kettle Collective. They have exceeded our expectations and will be working closely with their team over the coming months.”

Kettle was founded by Tony Kettle with fellow former RMJM principal Colin Bone and ex-Holford Associates managing partner David Tripney in October last year.

Kettle has worked on the Falkirk Millennium Wheel and the Scottish Parliament.
