Frarha Ebrahimi born in Iran and studied art and fashion at Otis / Parsons School of Art and Design in Los Angeles.In 1996 She works in New York as design director at DKNY and BCBG Azria. Whe she works in DKNY she met her husband, Philipp Mainzer, architect and founder of the renowned modern furniture brand e15.
She based in Frankfurt currently works as a designer and creative consultant providing innovative brand communication as well as design concept for mood, colours and materials.
In 2000 for e15 she established Germany’s first concept store Bergman, a pioneering retail and show space featuring selected products reflecting e15’s aesthetics, while curating notable art and design exhibitions linking furniture, fashion, design and art.Further, she worked as creative and marketing consultant on the launch of the fashion brand American Apparel to the European market.
In 2006 Farah Ebrahimi designed the modular sofa system SF03 SHIRAZ with Philipp Mainzer for e15, which received the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany. In addition to her continuous creative contribution and consultancy to e15, most recently Farah Ebrahimi has developed the fabric and colour concept of the Chassis chair designed by Stefan Diez for the distinguished German brand Wilkhahn.
