The firm Draw Link Group has finished a five-star hotel called The Act in Sharjah, UAE which the theme is inspired on the theater. The firm was commissioned the project to contribute to the development of the tourism sector in Sharjah, a lesser known emirate in comparison to Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Spanning a total of 21, 727m2, The Act comprises of 18 floors containing 180 rooms and suites, in addition to two F&B outlets, five meeting rooms, a ballroom, full treatment spa and gym as well as an outdoor pool.
The entrance of the hotel embodies a lighter atmosphere leading to deep hues towards the heart of the space, creating a dramatic contrast.
The concept focuses on using bold and whimsical elements to reinforce the idea of theatricality such as the customised standing stage projector lighting, pendant ceiling lights, giant sculptural metal chandeliers in the washrooms as well as luxurious golden mosaic tiles and a customised horse-shaped floor-lamp in the ballroom.

Contemporary artworks throughout the hotel are inspired by famous tragedies such as William Shakespeare’s Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet.
“The finished result is an unmatched atmosphere of mystery achieved through the considered combination of statement furniture pieces which keep the visitor intrigued and entertained, and the overall contemporary minimalist sophistication with the expected warmth of hospitality outlets,” said Daousser Chennoufi, the CEO of Draw Link Group.
