Companies now have two weeks to submit their nominations online.The nomination deadline for the 2012 Middle East Architect Awards has been extended until Thursday 6th September.The annual awards event is a celebration of the best practices, architects, engineers, principals and young stars in the region.

Winners will be chosen by an expert panel of judges and announced at a glamorous award ceremony on 23rd October 2012 at The Westin, Dubai. While the Best Overall Project Award is reserved for completed projects, it is possible to enter uncompleted and concept schemes in the other project categories.

These include GCC Residential Project of the Year; GCC Hospitality & Leisure Project of the Year; GCC Public Sector, Institutional & Cultural Project of the Year; Commercial Project of the Year; and Sustainable Design of the Year.

Company awards this year are Boutique Middle East Architecture Firm of the Year (less than 100 employees); Large Middle East Architecture Firm of the Year (more than 100 employees); and GCC Engineering Company of the Year. Meanwhile, the individual awards are Architect of the Year, Young Architect of the Year, Engineer of the Year and Principal of the Year.
